VIC Emergency
It is your responsibility to check the CFA Guidelines for use of the BBQ’s and outdoor open fire pits. Please Refer to: www.cfa.vic.gov.au
The Village Green strongly suggests you do not light a campfire during the fire danger period. The dates of the fire danger period are on the CFA website and the VIC Emergency App
Emergency Procedures
- Procedures – Emergency procedures notices are posted throughout TVG. Please make yourselves familiar with the arrangements.
- In case of emergency, call 000
- VIC Emergency App. It is the guests responsibility to download the VIC Emergency App
- It is the responsibility of the guest to determine if they will remain at TVG or leave the property in an emergency. TVG staff cannot advice on whether to leave or stay. There will not always be a Village Green representative on site.
- If guests decide to stay, the Emergency Assembly point is the middle of the Oval.
- Fire Fighting Equipment. Extinguishers, fire hoses and smoke detectors are vital and are located around the site. These should not be tampered with or removed.
- Fires. Total Fire Bans are declared by CFA on days when fires are likely to spread rapidly and be difficult to control.
- The Village Green advises that strictly no fires of any sort are to be lit during fire danger season
- On days of Total Fire Bans there are legal restrictions in force to reduce the likelihood of fires starting. Fire restriction notices must be strictly observed, see www.emergency.vic.gov.au/respond/
- The Village Green is located in the North Central district.
