The Strath Creek Lodge is a great way to bring the tribe together to enjoy the iconic Village Green facilities and the beautiful, seasonal, and tranquil One Thousand Hills that surround the property.

The Village Green has a history of bringing out the best from individuals and groups. Whether you are looking for a gathering of the clan, family reunion, sports and leadership camp or special gathering of the lads or ladies – you can achieve more at The Village Green.

The jewel in the crown is The Village Green oval which is a close replica of England’s famous Lords, complete with a turf wicket, picket fence and sloping ground. Overlooking these iconic grounds are the old-style pavilion and gardens that enhance the timeless nature of watching cricket.

When open, the licenced pavilion also provides a great place to enjoy a cold beverage and a hot meal.

For the more energetic members of your group, there are a wide range of activities to choose from. Guests are welcome to use the oval when it is not being used by organised groups, and there is also a hedge maze, cricket nets, basketball ring, golf nets and other games equipment on hand. For the more adventurous, there are hills to climb, orientation courses of varying difficulty, and 200 acres to explore on foot or mountain bike (if you have one). The hills are steep, but the view is worth it!

For animal lovers, there is a wide range of native wildlife to be seen by day and night. Parrots, kookaburras, kangaroos and wombats regularly wander through close to the accommodation, with a nighttime stroll with a torch in hand enabling you to get a close-up view of wild wombats grazing near your accommodation.

When it comes time to relax, The Village Green has plenty of options inside and out. Campfire settings provide the perfect setting for groups of all sizes to share stories and make memories around the fire under a star-filled sky.

We have wifi in all accommodations and google chrome for you to stream Netflix etc from your phone to the tv. A brand new mobile phone tower is in our area if you are with Telstra or Aldi you will have good mobile coverage.

All rooms have aircon and heating. There is an 80-inch tv in the main living area and 2 smaller tvs in 2 of the 4 bedrooms.

While just an hour from Melbourne, our property has a bush setting plus open fields. It adjoins the Mt Disappointment State Forest, and is quite isolated, with the nearest shop and petrol station at Broadford or Yea approximately a 20 – 30min. drive.

Please note: For the Strath Creek Lodge guests will be required to bring their own sleeping bags, doonas, and towels. Pillows and bottom sheets are supplied.
